Statue of St. Sebastian

The life-size statue of St. Sebastian was modelled from a single piece of walnut wood, also including part of the internal base, to which two joints for the arms were placed while the forearms and hands were made from the same block. The saint is represented wearing only a loincloth with a particular knotting at the back, also made from the same block of wood as the bust, it is tied to a gnarled trunk, pierced by nine arrows, the originals of which were replaced in a later period. A confraternity which had its seat in the Church of  St. Augustus of Corciano was dedicated to St. Sebastian and St. Rocco.
