Council Chamber, Magione Town Hall

Of particular importance is the pictorial decoration that embellishes the council chamber of the Town Hall, located on the top floor, which in1948 the mayor Publio Trento Bartoccioni wanted to entrust to the futurist experimentation of Gerardo Dottori. The pictorial cycle consists of two distinct sections: a first scene, on the back wall, represents Giovanni da Pian di Carpine in the act of delivering the parchment of Pope Innocent IV to the great Khan of the Mongols; a second scene, with the motifs more heavily marked due to the aero painting of the Perugian master, it develops in a rich band that frames the half vault of the ceiling and represents in succession Magione and all of its districts, each of which is characterised by its particular landscape-architecture or by typical local products.
